Pull-out for viewpoint: 37.74207, -111.72198
These have lasted over 700-1,000 years and let’s protect them so they last another 1,000! They are still in great condition. Bring a telephoto lens or binoculars.
To see the granaries, all you need to do is drive to the pull-out viewpoint and look high on the cliffs to your left. Look for the large alcove that goes in about 5 feet and look for the granaries. There is a sign and even some spotting tubes at the pull-out, but the granaries are hard to miss. These granaries are part of our cultural heritage and need to be respected.
Granaries were used to store food and other items. These ones are very large so maybe they could have been used to hold much larger items too?
