This is one of many overlooks in Mesa Verde National Park that does not require much effort to enjoy.  You simply find a parking spot along the road, walk the 50 ft to the overlook and see the Oak Tree House cliff dwellings across the canyon.

The kiosk at the overlook says that this is one of the larger dwellings in the park.  Even though it is about 350 ft across the canyon you can get a good sense for what life was like when people were living here.  You can see multiple roomed buildings, storage areas or granaries, retaining walls, six kivas, middens (middens = where the inhabitants would throw out their refuse) and lots of open area for people to live life.

This is a great overlook that won't take you any time but will add value to your Mesa Verde trip.
