Day 1

Monday, January 2

Destination: Colorado City, Arizona

Today we went out for a New Year’s adventure.  It was a cold day in Southwestern Utah, but that didn’t deter us from getting out and hitting our to-do list.

First on our list was a ruin and rock art site near Colorado City in Arizona.  I didn’t really know what to expect because there weren’t many pictures of this site.  When we got to the trailhead, it was just a short hike and we found several ruins and some amazing petroglyphs and pictographs!

After this we drove up to Mt. Carmel junction to check out the Belly of the Dragon.  This is a neat adventure that won’t take longer than 15 minutes.

On the way home, we drove through upper Zion, then through the tunnel and then back to town!
