Eddie Bauer Boundary 700 Fill Jacket

by February 6, 2015

Introduction

I have had this coat for about a year and a half. I have mixed feelings with it. It is  VERY warm. In fact several times I have used it it was too warm. This jacket is really for only the coldest days unless you are very cold blooded. It is waterproof which is nice as well and has insulated pockets for wind. The coat is also far lighter than most winter coats. One thing I don’t like is how big it is. Its a 700 fill coat so you look a tad ridiculous. I guess I’m just not used to large down coats. The biggest drawbacks I have have been the durability. There are several seems coming undone. As I walk the pocket zippers get caught on seams in the arms and have started to tear them out now as well. I need to try and take it in for a replacement because all Eddie Bauer coats are guaranteed it is still just annoying.

Cost

$99

Positives

Very warm, comfortable, light

Negatives

Very puffy looking, seams coming apart

The Bottom Line

This is a very good coat to keep you warm and it does that job amazingly well I just wish it would be a tad more durable.
