Alite Mantis Chair

by February 4, 2015

Introduction

This chair has been really amazing. This is the perfect option if you are into backpacking but don’t care to sit on logs or the ground. I didn’t expect much for comfort out of this chair but am very pleasantly surprised that it is actually very comfortable for how portable it is. The sling is also made out of pretty thick nylon that I think will be very durable. In its stuff sack the chair weighs only 1.8 lbs! The low weight makes it an easy decision to throw into any pack. It has a weight limit of 250 lbs and I think the sling is actually wide enough to accomodate that much. The sling has a large netted vent on each side making it very breathable. I have taken it along on two hikes and made a few people pretty jealous when I could comfortably lounge out and relax. It has a lifetime guarantee.

Cost

$120 on the Alite website
