The trail is not in the best condition as I was stepping over all weeds and bushes for parts of it. There is a sign that says to be cautious of the area so just be careful where you step.

I basically just made a beeline towards the mine from a different trail. I parked at a soccer or football field and just followed a dirt path to the mine. I had to do a little bushwhacking towards the end, but it might be avoidable.
I found this mine while I spent a day exploring around the greater Denver area. The mine looked interesting and I had an hour before I was supposed to meet up with my friend, so I thought it would be nice to check out a mine!
I basically just made a beeline towards the mine from a different trail. I parked at a soccer or football field and just followed a dirt path to the mine. I had to do a little bushwhacking towards the end, but it might be avoidable.
The mine didn’t seem too significant due to the small tailings and relatively few relics in the immediate area. The caved mine entrance was just above the wooden ore hopper and had some rail tracks scattered near it. If I had to take a guess, I would say that this mine had less than a few hundred feet in it. I don’t even know the real name of the mine or anything else associated with it. It was just fun to explore and see the cool ore hopper.
The ore hopper was used as a way to filter down the ore that was brought out from the mine. It would then be filtered at the ore hopper and dropped into trucks or containers of some kind.
There was a sign on the hopper that said “hazardous conditions”. Not sure what this meant, so I didn’t really dig around or explore too in-depth.
Personal Thoughts
If you do visit this place, I would suggest just admiring and taking pictures of the ore hopper. There isn't much to see besides that. Please be respectful of the relics and artifacts. Do not take anything and do not climb on the ore hopper.
